Star Casino Sculpture

Star Casino & Convention Center

Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

This sculpture is located on the roundabout between the entry driveways of the Star Casino and the Gold Coast Convention Center. The Star Casino / Gold Coast Convention Center pedestrian bridge weaves behind the piece, which is set in a landscaped garden.

The artwork is seven meters tall and is constructed from a 3mm stainless steel skin shaped over a tube frame. The two mirror stainless steel balls at the top are balanced against the deep bronze textured base, creating a unique accent.

This is the sister sculpture to "The Elegant Solution" located nearby at the entry drive of the two towers of The Oracle project. The sculpture was originally created for the Oracle Building but was later donated to the Gold Coast City Council by the project's developer, Con Nikiforides. We were delighted when this truly unique location was chosen for our artwork.

This sculpture was commissioned by Niecon Developments and was unveiled by the Gold Coast mayor, Tom Tate, on whenever.

The photos in this gallery cover the sculpture from the concept and modelling stages, through fabrication and to the official opening.
